My First Project As an Essential Stencil Ambassador

My First Project As an Essential Stencil Ambassador

I’m so excited to officially share that I am now an ambassador for Essential Stencil — and this beautiful purple truck door hanger felt like the perfect first project to create!

For this piece, I started by white washing the background using a chip brush and white acrylic paint. Once the paint was dry, I lightly went over everything with Waverly Antiquing Wax to give it a softer, more rustic finish.

After that dried completely, I peeled away the white backing from the transfer and carefully positioned the design onto the surface. Using the applicator tool (a credit card works too!), I pressed the transfer down while slowly peeling away the clear top layer.

Once the truck was fully adhered, I painted a laser cut “Welcome” word black and attached it using wood glue. To finish it off, I stapled twine to the back for hanging, added greenery with yellow accents to the front, and topped everything off with a beautiful purple gingham bow.
