1. Add a door mat!
Now, of course this comes on the heals of last night's door mat and porch signs workshop, but still.. whether you DIY or buy... a door mat is such a quick way to show your guests a patriotic welcome. You can add another cute striped or plaid carpet underneath to really make it pop, too.
2. Add a wreath!
Around here, we like to DIY our wreaths, but you can find so many pretty ones out there to suit your style. You can even opt for one that is pretty basic that can simply have the bow swapped out for each season. It can be a typical wreath, or a wooden round, or a door basket. Use whatever makes you happy!
3. Add flags!
Whether it is inside or outside, adding little flags is just about the easiest thing on this list! Pop tiny ones in pretty much anywhere you want. And the larger ones work well in large vases or door baskets. Outside, they are perfect in pots or stuck in the ground for a border effect along your landscaping.
We recently added this large one on the outside of our home to keep a flag out all year long. I didn't realize this one little thing would make the outside feel complete. Sure, I love to add seasonal flags as well, but this particular flag pole will be only for this flag - all year long.
4. Add a tall porch sign!
These porch signs really make a statement at your door. I love the ones that look like a flag but there are so many others that work well also. And, just like with your wreath, you could choose one that allows you to swap out part of the sign for the season.
5. Add some pillows!
For me, the easiest way to add pillows without having to store them is to add pillow covers. Amazon has so many great outdoor options for pillow covers. Mix and match plaids and stripes. There are seriously so many options out there!
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful Fourth of July holiday!
